I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

God's grace, which is abundant to those that believe in Him through Christ, is not a "blank check" to sin over and over.

God's grace, which is abundant to those that believe in Him through Christ, is not a "blank check" to sin over and over. You cannot say, "I can do this sin as often as I want, for God will keep forgiving me." Yes, Christians do sin, sometimes with the same sin multiple times, but it is a fight to overcome that sin. If you have been truly saved then the Holy Spirit, which has come to reside within you, will convict you of your sin, and show you your error. The sin, though you may still wrestle with it, is evil in your sight...not something you welcome.

If you are comfortable with the sins in your life (and we all have sin in our lives) then examine your heart and faith. Call upon the Holy Spirit to show you your errors and help you to overcome them. It is better to battle with them now, as you cling to Christ, than to live a life of false assurances and pay the price in eternity.

Salvation is found through believing in Christ, that He is the Son of God, very God of very God, part of the Triune Godhead along with the Father and Holy Spirit. You must believe that you are saved from your sin through the shedding of His blood on the cross. You must publicly confess your faith, repent of your sins and be baptized. You cannot cling with love and longing to the very sins that have kept you separated from God's holiness all your life; you need to see them for the filth they are and cast them away from you. And when you stumble again in sin, even as a believer, you must go back to the cross, confess your sins to God, who is quick to forgive you because of His great love for you.

Are you holding onto your sins? Or holding onto Christ?
