The greatest danger to Christianity in America is not an outside faith, nor a political party, but the hard hardheartedness of many who claim the name Christian. When you are more concerned with being angry at others than loving them, you are not doing as Christ commands. When you are more judgmental than merciful, you're missing the point of the Gospel. When you have no compassion for others, you lack Christ within your heart.
No outside faith, nor political party, can diminish the true power of Christ's Church. They cannot make you love others less, and it is in love that we transform the world. They cannot make your salvation less, for Christ has already secured it. They cannot diminish God, for He is God and reigns supreme. Only your fear, hatred, lack of mercy and compassion can shrink your faith and your understanding of God. Only your lack of love can make the Christian faith less than what it should be.
